  • Festive cheer for Merseyrail passengers as services planned for Boxing Day

    Merseyrail passengers can make the most of travel around the Liverpool City Region this Christmas, as trains will be running every day over the festive period, with the exception of Christmas Day. In collaboration with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, Boxing Day trains will be running once again, with a limited service between 09:00 and 18:30, calling at selected stations across the network.

  • LCR Pride Awards Set to Return

    The LCR Pride Awards will return on Thursday 23rd February 2023 following a three-year hiatus, thanks to joint sponsorship provided by Liverpool Football Club (LFC) and Merseyrail. The sell-out inaugural awards ceremony celebrating those working to make the Liverpool City Region the most LGBT+ friendly place in the UK, delivered by LCR Pride Foundation, took place in 2019 before the pandemic shut down large events.

    Sefton Council is once again helping to spread seasonal cheer across the Borough with cut and living Christmas trees for its communities.
