Across The Park Podcast

Monday, 17 May 2021 - 1 hour 15 minutes

Blues Ian Mills & Andrew Price are joined in the studio by solo red, Phil Roberts as we reflect on the penultimate week of the 20/21 season. The blues are angry and emotional as they reflect on a week that looks to have blown Everton’s hopes of European football. They break down just what has gone wrong this season, as 9 different teams have taken maximum points at Goodison Park, as well as the style of football and just what is needed to improve. Phil is jubilant as the reds took maximum points from away games at Manchester UTD and West Brom, leaving Champions league football in Liverpool’s hands. The manner of performance and pride at watching both games is broken down, before both sides tackle some social media question including Sadio Mane’s Liverpool future and if Carlo Ancelotti should be criticized. This week in history see’s the blues reflect on Roberto Martinez getting the sack in 2016, whilst Phil looks back on a UEFA Cup final victory in 2001. Higher or lower see’s both blues pitted against each other before we close out previewing the final 2 games of the season for both sides.
