Across The Park Podcast

Monday, 3 May 2021 - 1 hour 22 minutes

Episode 34 of Across The Park Podcast begins with the blues, Gary Judge and Andrew Price, again, bemoaning Everton’s dismal home form after defeat at the hands of Aston Villa. During their analysis, they respond to some social media comments from their fellow fans who aim a lot of their frustrations towards Caro Ancelotti. Next, the reds, Gary Murray and Phil Roberts discuss what unfolded at Old Trafford which resulted in their game against Man Utd being postponed. They give their thoughts on the protests carried out by the United supporters. A social media question follows this section where the listener asked both sets of fans what one player has exceeded expectation and what player has underperformed during this season. All four of the lads give their answers and reasons to this. Another variation of higher or lower returns this week followed by another popular feature, “who am i?”. The previews of the upcoming weekend fixtures are next where Liverpool play hosts to Southampton and Everton are away to West Ham. The show ends this week with a look back in history with the blues looking back to their team in 2005 when they clinched 4th spot in the Premier league, ahead of 5th place Liverpool, securing a spot in the CL qualifiers. The reds also look back to 2005 and to their CL semi final victory over Chelsea which sent them through that famous final in Istanbul.
