Episode 30 - Season 2020/21

Across The Park Podcast

Wednesday, 7 April 2021 - 1 hour 23 minutes

This week's episode of Across The Park Podcast kicks off with the reds, Gary Murray and Terry McGivern, having mixed performances to review from dominating Arsenal and looking more like their usual selves, to being out worked, out played and out classed against Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League Quarter Final. The blues, Ian Mills and Andrew Price, then discuss Everton’s continued disappointing home form after they conceded late to draw against Crystal Palace, which saw the podcast inundated with messages from disgruntled fans. Next, the blue side look back to 1995 in this week in history, at their 4-1 FA Cup semi final victory over Tottenham. The reds, this week, look at a more recent week in history when they dismantled Manchester City in the Champions League QF first leg back in 2018. A listener favourite is next with the reds and blues competing in higher or lower, with Ian Mills hosting so Pricey is going solo against the two reds. To end the show the reds look ahead to their weekend home fixture against Aston Villa where they have the chance to go fourth before the other teams around them play, while the blues look to their away fixture at Brighton, discussing what line up and tactics they’d prefer Carlo Ancelotti to go with.
