Episode 29 - Season 2020/21

Across The Park Podcast

Monday, 29 March 2021 - 1 hour 19 minutes

This weeks episode of Across The Park Podcast begins with the reds, Gary Murray & Phil Roberts looking ahead to Liverpool’s away fixture at Arsenal on Saturday evening and their Champions League Quarter final 1st leg away to Real Madrid. The blues, Andrew Price & Gary Judge, follow this by previewing Everton’s home game against Crystal Palace on Monday night and then touch on the announcement that their new stadium has been given the green light by the government to begin construction. “This week in history” sees the reds looking back to 1999 when they beat Everton for the first time in 5 years with Fowler having some banter with the Everton fans after scoring a penalty in front of the away fans. The blues look back to the same year when Kevin Campbell was brought to the club and the impact he had on the team, including keeping Everton in the premier league with his vital goals. The popular “higher or lower” returns by popular demand as the lads go up against each other on both teams stats since the formation of the Premier League. There’s an extra feature this week in the absence of game reviews with “who am I?”. The show then concludes with a few selected social media questions for both sides of the park to get stuck into including Lukaku's availability this summer and Van Bastens comments about scrapping the offside rule.
