ATP Episode 2 - Season 2021/22

Across The Park Podcast

Monday, 23 August 2021 - 1 hour 34 minutes

This week's episode begins with reds, Terry McGivern & Gary Murray discussing how good it felt to be back at a packed Anfield for the first home game and victory over Burnley, which sees them pick out some individuals for some well deserved praise. The blues, Ian Mills & Gary Judge, follow up, revealing they were disappointed with a draw, given the chances they had in the game, where despite crediting Leeds tactically, they believe Benitez set out his team perfectly. Listener questions, follow with question on some players that aren’t good enough still being played regularly by the blues, with Michael Keane, in particular coming in for criticism. This week in history is next where the reds look back to this week in 2014 and the signing of Mario Balotelli, whilst the blues look back to 2005 to when Everton were in Villarreal, trying to qualify for the Champions League for the first time. Millsy hosts this weeks higher or lower which is based on transfer fees for both clubs. The show ends with the blue side looking to their 2nd round Carabao Cup tie away to Huddersfield before their third game of this premier league season away to Brighton, while the reds look at an early top of the league clash, against Chelsea in the 5.30pm game on Saturday.
